our two gîtes, the hayloft and the stables, were sympthetically restored from original farm buildings retaining many original features and the traditional charentaise style of exposed stone walls, oak beams and polished wood floors.

outwardly at least the property hasn't changed much since the 1930's .

facilities
both our gîtes have a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area, smart tv's (+uk free to air) & dvd player.
​
well equipped kitchens come with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and more than sufficient cookware and tableware.
​
the bedrooms have double wardrobes, modular storage, mirrors and dressing table.
all duvets, bed linen, bathroom towels, tea-towels, oven-gloves and washing-up accessories are provided.
​
laundry facilities are available on site. there is a small charge for use which includes washing tablets.
​
internet (400/250mb wifi ) is available in both gîtes.
​
to the front of the accommodation are mature gardens and undercover shaded parking.
to the rear of each gîte there is a large courtyard with private bbq and seating areas.
the 10m x 5m heated pool is located within a walled courtyard, accessed via a security gate. pool depth is 1.4m and is open from may to september.
there are always enough sun loungers for all guests. pool towels are not provided, but, if required can be hired for a small fee per week.

bikes can be hired and delivered direct to site. they come with all the necessary "extras" such as helmets, pump, puncture repair kit etc. this is via our local provider bike hire direct. please visit their site for prices and routes. book early if you are coming in high-season, as demand often outstrips supply.
the hayloft
provides a loft style living experience, with a mix of traditional features, sleeping up to 4 persons.

the main accommodation is located on the first floor, accessed via a spiral staircase which opens out onto a spectacular open plan living, dining and kitchen space (36m²). There is a modern shower room with a double walk in shower, large wash basin with vanity unit and wc (5m²).

the bedrooms are also located on this floor bedroom 1 with double bed (14m²) & bedroom 2 with twin beds (13m²).

on the ground floor there is access to the rear courtyard where you will find a secluded seating and bbq area.
the hayloft - additional accommodation sleeping 2 extra persons
for larger parties, an additional double bedroom, and shower room are available on the ground floor.
the bedroom (13m²) has direct access to the rear courtyard. the shower room comes complete with a double walk in shower, large wash basin with vanity unit and wc (8m²).
the stables
has a cottage feel, and is arranged over two floors sleeping up to 4 persons.

on the ground floor is a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area (40m²) and also a large contemporary shower room with a double walk in shower, large wash basin with vanity unit and wc (14m²).

two bedrooms are located on the first floor: bedroom 1 with kingsize bed (16m²) & bedroom 2 with twin beds (15m²).

there is a rear courtyard accessed via double doors where you will find a secluded seating and bbq area.
